More than 40 local financial advisors gathered at the Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek where they learned from a Hollywood master storyteller how to improve communications with their clients. Saxon shared the secrets of the world’s most influential filmmakers by using analysis, examples, anecdotes and advice.
“To really connect with your audience, or your client, you need to reach them on an emotional level. That’s what good stories do. They engage, they visualize, they communicate, they connect,” said Saxon to the advisors.
After listening to Saxon’s presentation, advisors could better understand the role storytelling plays in advising clients. A spirited Q&A session allowed advisors to further discover the benefits of leveraging narrative to strengthen the advisor/client relationship.
“Saving and investing money is more than numbers. Numbers are just metrics and measurements,” he continued. “It’s what your money enables you to do that’s important. How you share your resources and who you share them with is where the heart of your story lies.”
