Action Required: Whitelist this New Address in Prep for An Upcoming Authentication Process Enhancement

Please note, the following updates only apply to users who sign in using a username and password. If you SSO into eMoney, your experience will remain the same. However, we ask all firms to take the precautionary action below.

Action Required:

Over the coming weeks, your users will sign in to eMoney more efficiently with an improved multifactor authentication process. Although we don’t anticipate any interruption of access, as a precaution, we ask that you send along this address to whitelist prior to Tuesday, February 4: *.wealth.emaplan.com.

What’s New?

  • Self-recovery authentication: If you become locked out due to multiple failed login attempts, you’ll be redirected to unlock your account using two-factor verification with email and SMS for added security.
  • Self troubleshooting: A new Help link will appear providing basic support instructions.

  • Slight visual differences: The login interface and email layout may appear slightly different than what you’re used to. Please note that the email you will receive if you get locked out will come from noreply@okta.com. (See below)

Who Will Experience This New Authentication Process?

Assuming your office has not disabled eMoney default security settings which include adaptive multifactor authentication, and we have a valid SMS phone number, you and your clients will be able to perform this self-unlock feature.  Otherwise unlock will happen the way it does today, after a 10-minute timeout, “forgot password” flow, or with the assistance of an advisor or admin.
