Coming Soon: 2-Factor Authentication for Advisors

Security is one of the pillars upon which eMoney Advisor was built. With comprehensive security measures, including password protection, secure socket layer encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection and protection, audits, penetration testing and more, the security of your and your clients’ data is our primary goal.

And coming soon, you’ll have the option to use an advanced two factor authentication technology on the Advisor site as an additional security measure. eMoney has implemented a complete fraud detection platform that uses a dynamic risk and rules-based approach that identifies high-risk behaviors, initiates an additional layer of security and provides two-factor authentication.

Here’s how it works:

The first time you log in, you’ll be prompted to enroll in eMoney’s enhanced authentication solution.

Enter your mobile phone number.

Once you’re set up, after you’ve entered your username and password on the login page, you’ll be asked to enter a 6-digit PIN that will be sent to your mobile phone. You will also be required to set up a second phone number to receive a text message or voice call-back. This is a fallback number that can be used when you do not have access to your primary phone during sign-in.

Set up a recovery phone for emergencies.

The PIN is delivered primarily via text message, but if users do not have access to their primary phone or are having trouble receiving texts, they can choose the More Options link on the Sign In page.

Choose more options if you are not able to receive a text message on your primary phone number.

This will allow you to select a Call Me option to receive a voice call-back, or you can contact Customer Service at 888-362-8482 for one-time access.

Select your primary or recovery phone and whether to receive a voice call-back or text message.

With increased security from start to finish, you can be sure both your and your clients’ data is protected.
