Since the release of our integration with Fidelity Clearing and Custody SolutionsSM in September, hundreds of Advisors, Planners, and Assistants have been using the integration to save time on data entry, improve their workflow with single sign-on functionality, and enhance their client experience.

Need a little help getting started? Click here for more information on the integration, including how to enable the integration within eMoney, and check out some best practices for incorporating the integration into your workflow.

Advisor Best Practices

Getting Started – Don’t Double Your Workload. A common challenge when starting off with any financial planning software is creating a complete client profile. But with the Fidelity Platform integration, you can import client data, like their name, address, and account data, so you can create a new client in eMoney with just two clicks. When paired with the new automated Onboarding workflow, your clients’ Personal Financial Management websites are already pre-populated with their basic data so they can focus on what’s important to them, rather than the basic facts. And our new householding capability makes it easier to link client and spouse accounts to a single household in eMoney so you can send out individual invitations to the client website, and provide access to their own brokerage capabilities through their unique username and password.

Simplify Your Workflow. One of the most useful benefits of the Fidelity integration is the ability to quickly and easily transition between WealthscapeSM (formerly Streetscape® and WealthCentral®) and eMoney. This enables you to go from planning in eMoney to implementing the plan in WealthscapeSM. And the single sign-on capabilities of the Fidelity Platform integration are not limited to your user role, so advisors and support staff can all take advantage of the streamlined workflow that comes along with an integrated user experience.

Client Best Practices

Focus on the Client Website. Create a truly digital experience for your clients by promoting easy access to their Fidelity accounts, with single sign-on capabilities to MyStreetscape and an easy and direct link to Fidelity.com right from their eMoney Client Website. By showing your clients the importance of the client website right from the start, you can help ensure they’ll take an active role in the wealth management process.

Fidelity Brokerage Documents Accessible from the eMoney Vault. Copies of a client’s Fidelity brokerage documents (e.g. statements, tax documents) are accessible to clients from the eMoney Vault, adding a convenient, secure, and organized cloud storage solution. At the same time, collaboration through the Vault provides clients with additional incentive to remain engaged with their Personal Financial Management website. Use this Vault Checklist document to set expectations for using the Vault with your clients.

Share More than Access and Documents. Screen Sharing through the client website allows you to present recommendations using the Decision Center, Goal Planner, or Distribution center. Use the Screen Sharing feature to tie your client experience together, making the client website the center of your client’s financial picture. It’s where they check their accounts, manage their budgets, see copies of important Fidelity documents, engage with their advisors, and so much more.
